Pre-Cata Excitement

First, let me apologize for my geekiness.  I have played WoW since 2007.  I've taken a few "WoW Breaks" over the years, in which I go several months without touching the thing, but I always find myself coming back to it every time.

World of Warcraft's had two expansions over the years. The first was World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, which brought to us the Draenei and Blood Elves, a level cap of 70, flying mounts in the new area called the Outlands, and the sudden realization that all that gear you worked so hard to get was now practically worthless.

The second was World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.  Much has changed in our world since the release of WotLK.  We've encountered Death Knights, ventured to level 80, Northrend, and have had so many dungeons opened up to us that we don't even know what to do with them.

The next expansion to come out will be Cataclysm. With this one, we'll see the coming of two new races - Worgen and Goblins. There will be new race and class combinations, such as gnome priests, blood elf warriors, and human hunters.  There'll be a new secondary profession available.  The level cap will be increased to 85.  We will be able to fly in the original land of Azeroth.  Several previously inaccessible areas will become available, such as Hyjal, Gilneas, and the Lost Isles. Needless to say, I am so excited for Cataclysm.

The picture above seems to be of Westfall, the area to the West of Elwynn Forest in the Eastern Kingdoms.  I've got to say, this sight in the eyes of anyone else may come across as a terrible occurrence, something awful.  But to the rest of us nerds out there, it just brings forth copious amounts of glee and giddiness.  We just can't help it.  We're just so excited.
